Augustine's adds the perfect air of mystery to any day in Bridgeport. Finally, for a taste of the history that Bridgeport carries with it, one can always visit Bridgeport Antiques on South Archer Avenue.

Bridgeport is, above all, a family neighborhood. Among its city blocks are several parks where parents and children gather to play baseball or soak up the summer sun. In July, Bridgeport also hosts the Southside Arts and Music Festival, one of Chicago's famous summer festivals. For the indoor-inclined, as the Arts and Music Festival would indicate, Bridgeport has a small, yet vibrant arts scene that finds a home in several art galleries throughout the neighborhood.
