River North is a great place to indulge in food as the place is agog with a variety of restaurants that offer a wide range of offerings starting from Thai, Mexican, Italian, Brazilian, Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, Indian, Mediterranean and American. Some of the famous eateries of River North include: Klay Oven, Ben Pao and Rockbottom Brewery and are unique for their food offerings in the whole of Chicago. Other famous chains of restaurants in the neighbourhood include Rainforest Café, Hard Rock Café and Ed Debevic's. River North houses a large number of famous bars and grills such as O'Leary's Public House and Blue Frog Bar. Incidentally it is worth noting that the O'Leary's Public House was named after the owner of the infamous cow that knowcked off the lantern that started the great Chicago fire of 1871.
